B-Ball’s Spaghetti Sauce

(From the Gold Medal Blender Cookbook)
“The recipe makes more than 2 or 3 people can eat at one meal. The leftover sauce makes an excellent base for lasagna and/or pizza.”

Ingredients
1 large onion
1 large garlic clove
2 ½ cups canned tomatoes (1 large can Contina chopped tomatoes)
1 6oz can tomato paste
4 sprigs parsely
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons peanut oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon oregano
1 “dash” of hot pepper sauce
1 LB lean ground beef

In a covered blender, chop very fine:
Onion
Garlic
Parsley

Heat oils in a large skillet and sauté the onion/garlic/parsley mixture until onions are clear. Add hamburger and sauté until browned.

(While the meat is browning)
Combine remaining ingredients in blender and blend until smooth:
Canned tomatoes
Tomato paste
Oregano
Pepper
Salt
Sugar
Hot pepper sauce

Add sauce to meat mixture and bring to a simmer for 30 minutes.
