Mix together:
2 sticks of oleo / margarine / butter
4 tablespoons sugar
2 cups flour
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
2 cups pecans chopped

roll dough into crescents, place on ungreased cookie sheet
bake @ 350 for 8 to 10 minutes – until very lightly browned on bottom edges
cool for a few minutes on the pan
then (while still warm) roll CAREFULLY in powdered sugar
and place on plate to cool
