Prune Crunch

Mix in 2 qt sauce pan and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes

2 cups chopped prunes
½ cup sugar
6oz prune juice
2 teaspoons grated orange rind

sift together:
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt

cream:
1/3 cup margarine or butter
½ cup (packed) brown sugar
Add
2 egg whites
mix thoroughly
add flour mixture
add ½ cup chopped pecans
1 cup rolled oats
stir in cooked prune mixture

pour into lightly greased 8x8 pan
bake @ 350 for 20 to 25 minutes
