Cream together:
½ cup shortening
1 cup sugar

add 1 egg
mix well

sift together
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon salt

1 cup persimmons

add dry ingredients to creamed mixture in thirds and mix well
add fruit with the last of the flour mixture
mix well

drop on greased cookie sheet

bake @ 350 for 10 to 15 minutes
