Marshile Bowling (?)

Cream together:
1 cup Crisco
1 ½ cup brown sugar

Add and beat well
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

sift together
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

add dry ingredients to creamed mixture in thirds and mix well

with the last third, add:
2 cups chopped pecans
2 cups raisins, dates or candied cherries

mix well

drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet

bake @ 375 for 10 to 12 minutes
