Fruit Cocktail Cake

Preheat oven to 300 -- bake for 1 hour

Sift together:
1 ½ cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
add 2 eggs and a little fruit cocktail juice, mix well
Add remaining contents of a 303 (? 3oz? 30oz?) can of fruit cocktail.
Pour into greased and floured sheet pan.

Mix
½ cups brown sugar
½ cups chopped nuts
sprinkle over cake and bake @ 300 for 1 hour

Remove from oven and pour this mixture over cake:
1 stick melted butter
½ cup evaporated milk
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ cup chopped nuts
boil mixture for 2 minutes then pour over cake

Broil cake & topping for 2 minute
