Wanda’s Beef Stew

2 lbs cubed stew meat
salt and pepper the meat and put in a bag with 1+ cups flour
shake well, until meat it covered with flour

Sear meat in pan of bacon grease or Oleo (or both) until brown

Add one whole onion (diced) and cook for about 4 minutes

Add 1 ½ to 2 cups water and let simmer for 1 hour

While meat is simmering:
Cut up 1 ½ large potatoes and 1 ½ cup carrots
Cook in 1 cup water until nearly done (~20 minutes)
Add to meat and simmer for another 20 minutes

Serve with cornbread
